FAQ
We’d love to tell you more about Invoe.
Here are some of our most frequently asked questions, from dropping in your first order to getting your team started.
Getting started
What kind of stores is this for?
Independent retailers who buy from a lot of brands: clothing stores, outdoor shops, home goods, kids stores, gift shops, and more. If you place orders across dozens of vendors and spend hours wrangling POs and spreadsheets, Invoe was built for you.
Do I need to be on Shopify?
Invoe is built for independent retailers on Shopify. It connects incoming vendor orders with product preparation, receiving and publication to your Shopify catalog.
Do I or my team need to be technical?
No. Neither you nor your team needs to be technical to use Invoe. Drop in a vendor order as a PDF, photo or spreadsheet, then review the details Invoe brings in for you. Your team can see what is on order and receive against it when the delivery arrives, without rekeying it line by line.
How long does setup take?
Install from the Shopify App Store, set your preferences and bring in your first vendor order. You can review the details before saving. Start with one order and invite your team when you are ready.
What does it cost?
Plans start at $79/month after the free trial. Starter includes 100 Shopify-ready products per month with the vendor CRM and claims tracking, Growth is $149/month with 250 products plus QuickBooks sync and team activity, and Pro is $299/month with 500 products, four or more locations, and white-glove onboarding.
What is included in the free trial?
Try Invoe free with up to 10 orders and 25 products published to Shopify. Bring your own vendor orders, review the details, receive deliveries and try publishing to Shopify. These are total trial allowances, not monthly limits.
Switching from Stocky
Can Invoe help us move our incoming orders from Stocky?
Invoe covers vendor order intake, shared visibility of incoming stock, receiving and product preparation for Shopify. Bring the source documents for your open orders. If forecasting or stock transfers are part of your current setup, assess those needs separately.
Can I bring my data over?
Bring vendor orders as PDFs, photos or spreadsheets and review the details Invoe reads. This is a way to prepare your open orders; it is not a promise to transfer every historical Stocky record automatically.
Where does Invoe fit alongside forecasting?
Invoe manages the work between placing a vendor order and selling the stock: reading order details, showing what is coming, receiving deliveries and preparing products for Shopify. Keep the forecasting tools that support your buying decisions.
Purchase orders
How does it work?
Upload a PDF, photo, or spreadsheet from your order, or capture it from a wholesale site with the Send PO extension. Invoe reads the vendor, products, quantities, costs and available images without your team rekeying every line. Review and correct the details, then keep the prepared order in one shared place, ready for the delivery.
Does it work with Faire, NuORDER, and JOOR?
Yes. Download or print your order from any of those and upload it, or grab it with the Send PO extension. Invoe treats prices as wholesale costs, reads the brand as your vendor, and pulls product images wherever the source gives us something useful.
Why add another tool to my day?
Fair question. Most new tools mean more complexity. Invoe gives you one place to put every pending order the moment you place it, so buying stays organized and product moves toward selling faster.
Can I upload a photo of a paper order?
Yes. Photo, PDF, or spreadsheet all work. Clearer files read better, but the workflow is built for the real formats stores receive, including product images when they are available.
What if the order reads wrong?
Invoe stages the work for review. Your team edits products, quantities, costs, and vendor details before saving or publishing.
Receiving and reporting
Can it handle partial shipments?
Yes. Open the prepared order and count what arrived. The remaining quantities stay open on the same purchase order, ready for the next delivery. Your team does not need to retype the order or make a second one.
Can my floor team receive in Shopify POS?
Yes. The Invoe tile in Shopify POS lets your floor team receive against the order. Your team can also receive at a desk in Invoe, with the order and its receiving record kept together.
Can it help with short shipments or damaged items?
Yes. Claims tracking is included on every paid plan. Record shortages or damage with the purchase order so your team has a clear record for vendor follow-up. Claims are not included in the free trial.
What can I report on?
Your team can see open orders, expected arrivals and outstanding commitments by vendor, location or month, along with receiving history and landed costs. The person on the floor can find the same order information as the buyer.
Shopify and catalogs
Can Invoe help prepare my catalog for Google Shopping and shopping agents?
Yes. Invoe helps prepare the product names, descriptions, images, variants and prices you publish to Shopify. Those details help customers and shopping services understand what you sell. Google Shopping and Shopify’s agentic storefronts have their own setup, eligibility and product requirements. Invoe prepares the catalog; you manage those channels in Shopify.
What happens to the products already in my Shopify store?
Invoe reads your Shopify catalog to recognize reorders and match incoming products. Connecting your store does not publish the vendor orders you add. Your team reviews prepared products and chooses what to publish to Shopify.
Does Invoe publish directly to Shopify?
Yes. Your prepared product details, images, variants and counted inventory carry forward to Shopify when your team reviews and publishes. Invoe flags missing details before that final step, so you do not have to copy the products across by hand.
Will my team need Shopify seats?
No. Your team can prepare orders, receiving, and product data in Invoe without working inside Shopify admin. Invite them to Invoe to work on the orders your team is preparing.
Can Invoe help my products show up in search?
Invoe helps prepare titles, descriptions, images, variants and other listing details before publication. Complete product information gives shoppers more to work with; Invoe does not guarantee search rankings or placement.
What if I do not sell online?
That is fine. Invoe still helps POS-only stores organize incoming inventory and prepare clean product data. If you want an online catalog later, it is ready.
Teams, vendors, and trust
Can my whole team use it?
Yes. Everyone can see what is on order, what has arrived and what is still expected. Every plan includes unlimited team members. Invite your team to work on orders, product details and receiving in Invoe. They do not need separate Shopify Admin access for that work.
Can Invoe track vendor terms and contacts?
Yes. Vendor contacts, notes, order history and terms are available on every plan, including the trial. Claims tracking is available on paid plans.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your data is stored with row-level security so each store only sees its own orders, vendors, and products. PO documents are private. We do not share your data with other stores.
What if something needs a human?
Invoe is built around review moments, clear states when something looks off, and real human help when you need it. You always push the button.
Got something we didn’t cover?
We’d love to hear it. Tell us what you’re wondering about, or how things work in your store.
